I met with James Bond the other week and he's come back for more fun
We dig even deeper
This great guy is none other than Steve Wright the photographer we chatted about his career and he shared a load of tips to help us take better photos even with our mobile devices.
He says you do not need a huge camera with loads of features to get started.

About Steve:
"I've been a commercial photographer for the last 3 decades and a lot has happened in that time. Here are a few key points, but there are so many more I could have listed 😁
🛳 I honed my skills as a cruise ship photographer, capturing smiles worldwide.
🇺🇸 Pret flew me to the USA because they liked how I photographed their sandwiches.
😎 I became a Daniel Craig lookalike when he became Bond.
👁 I ventured into Iris photography because I loved its aesthetic.
😁 I have a knack for making people smile.
Why am I still doing photography after all this time? It's because I love the interaction I have with people; everyone is unique, and it's my job to show that."

I found out about Hayley’s journey from the helm of Athena Accountants and Business Advisors to launching her new business support group. This fresh endeavour stands out as a support network and educational hub for women eager to elevate their businesses, embracing the ethos that collaboration trumps competition.

Here's the seventh episode of my brand-new show. Live and Linking
Every Tuesday at 12:30 pm BST I chat with a LinkedIn personality to find out about them, what they do and why they love this incredible platform.
This week I am overwhelmed with three experts, Louise Brogan, John Espirian, and Nigel Cliffe, share their valuable insights, personal journeys, and the essence of the upcoming Uplift Live conference. Here are the key takeaways and insights from this insightful conversation:
1. The Power of LinkedIn for Diverse Professionals
LinkedIn is not just for B2B; it's a platform where B2C professionals, like artists, have found immense success by reaching the right audience, leading to significant business growth and opportunities.
2. LinkedIn Premium vs. Free Accounts
The consensus among the experts is that learning to effectively use the free version of LinkedIn is crucial before considering an upgrade to Premium. With the evolving platform dynamics, there's a subtle push towards Premium, but the foundational strategies remain pivotal.
3. Content Creation and Engagement
Short-form content is great for immediate visibility and engagement, while long-form content, like articles, offers long-term authority and discoverability. Sharing valuable, relevant content is key to building a following and fostering engagement.
4. Personal Branding and Building Connections
LinkedIn excels as a platform for building personal brands and making real human connections. Whether it's turning on creator mode or deciding between follow and connect options, the strategic aim is to enhance visibility and foster genuine relationships.
5. The Uplift Live Conference: A Not-to-Miss Event for LinkedIn Enthusiasts
Uplift Live is designed as a comprehensive learning experience for LinkedIn users, featuring workshops and sessions aimed at best practices and advanced strategies. With nearly 200 attendees expected, it promises networking opportunities and insights from almost eight speakers in the LinkedIn space.
6. Visibility and Strategy Adjustments
Adjusting strategies based on the platform's evolving features, like the integration of creator mode, is crucial for maintaining and increasing visibility on LinkedIn.

Odessa's Journey: A Blend of Challenges and Triumphs
Name: OdessaCompany: Scrivo SocialSpecializations: Recruitment, HR, Catering, Marketing, Sales Admin
The Journey Begins: Post-pandemic, life threw a curveball with a string of unsuccessful employment roles, compounded by my husband's fractured hip. However, I didn't let this deter me. I took to LinkedIn, networking diligently and sharing my content creation prowess. This proactive approach paid off, marking the start of my self-employment journey, now going strong for 2.5 years.
Challenges Along the Way: It hasn't been all smooth sailing. I've faced a fair share of hurdles, including a poor partnership, a sudden loss of client income, ongoing battles with imposter syndrome, and managing a business relocation while my husband needed surgery. These challenges tested my resolve but also taught me resilience.
The Silver Lining: Amidst these challenges, the silver lining has been the incredible people I've met along the way. The community I've either created or become a part of has been my highlight. It's a testament to the power of networking and community-building.

A Little About Me: Almost 2 years ago, I made a significant life change by moving to the South West from Milton Keynes. With a young family and ambitious future plans, I'm passionate about sharing my craft. Why? Because for me, content creation is more than just writing. It's about sparking conversations, fostering a sense of community, and collaborating. It's about making real, meaningful connections and investing in the people around you. That's the philosophy that guides my work and what I aim to share with every piece of content I create.
